Pacific Bride Inc was created by Melinda Morris-Ponga, Apartments Kakera host, in 2001. Melinda, who trained and operated her own studios in Auckland, New Zealand for most of her career, quickly realized that there was a large gap in the pampering services offered to tourist brides in Rarotonga. She created and offered specialized bridal packages, that allowed brides to relax in the comfort of their accommodation and enjoy being professionally pampered from head to toe.
Bringing with her a wealth of over 19 years experience in hair styling and make-up artistry Melinda has many awards to her credit. As well as developing the industry in Rarotonga Melinda has helped in training other stylists in bridal pampering services. Melinda's passion for her work is obvious as she attends to the smallest of details to ensure that the bride looks her very best for the most magical day of her life. Her relaxed, confident manner and professionalism is often commented upon and goes a long way in ensuring that everything runs smoothly and everyone is relaxed and happy! Having worked on over 2000 weddings, she not only has the skill and expertise of a qualified hair and make-up stylist, but also has an extensive knowledge of wedding day preparations and proficient time management.
After 7 years of full time Pacific Bride Inc styling work, Melinda is now looking forward to exclusively pampering brides and guests at Apartments Kakera.
